We have always called ourselves a dance family. If you've been a part of the studio at any point, you know that means you're a part of extended family, too. We are a family run business, and family is at the heart of everything we do. And because you are our family, we feel compelled to share that our family got a little smaller yesterday, and feels very broken.
My dad was an integral part of the studio. He was my handy man, contractor, negotiator, advisor, and, as most of you fondly remember him, the emcee for each and every recital. He made you laugh. He celebrated our successes. And most of all, he was so very vocally proud of what we built.
Most businesses wouldn't share this loss. We're not most businesses. We're sharing because you were probably touched by him at one point or another and recital will feel a little different next year. We're also sharing because we might be a little slower to get back to you over the next few days as we grieve this loss. We know a new season is right around the corner, and we promise, once we overcome this sudden loss, we will be right with you.
To those who already have reached out, thank you. With our immediate, extended, and dance family by our side, we can get through anything.
