Is anyone else feeling like September is a non-stop spending month?

Back to school. 🎒
Hockey registration. 🏒
Dance. Football. Activities.
New shoes and clothes because somehow NOTHING fits anymore.

And suddenly your bank account is like… excuse me?! 😅

I’m curious:

Back to school is always a little bittersweet. 🥹

I LOVE having my kids home. I love the chaos, the random conversations, the snacks every 14 minutes, the “Mom!” being yelled from another room for something that absolutely did not require me.

But I also love watching them head back to school.

New teachers, new friends, new experiences, learning new things, figuring out who they are and becoming a little more independent every year.

And while I’ll miss having them around all day… I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t also a tiny bit excited to sit down at my desk, drink a coffee while it’s still hot, and work without being interrupted 47 times. 😂

It’s funny how you can be sad to see summer end AND ready for routine again.

I’ve been a little MIA on here the last couple of weeks — but I promise I didn’t quit, disappear, or run away to a tropical island. Unfortunately.

I’ve been super busy running the kids around to their end of summer activities - musical theatre and hockey (can you guess which of my kids is in which activity?).

All while continuing to help clients, have conversations, build my business, learn as I go… and drinking an unreasonable amount of coffee in the process.

Is anyone else looking forward to back to school and routine? We thrive on routine in my house.

Surrogacy is one of my favourite topics to talk about! As a prior surrogate myself, I know first hand how truly life changing it is!

Part of the surrogacy journey is having life insurance for the surrogate. This ensures the surrogate and their family are fully covered if anything were to happen to them during the process.
