Real talk!
Prior to Covid we had 6+ months saved up. Between not being able to work because of lockdowns and my husband switching jobs to a lower paying one for consistency our savings was depleted!
We were getting back on our feet when my husband broke both of his elbows while on vacation. Thankfully, he had disability insurance! It was still tight month to month but we were able to survive through it. He was off for almost two full years.
Turns out the average disability timeframe from injury to going back to work is 24 months.
We all think ‘it won’t happen to me’ but what if it does?
Because this stuff can happen to anyone at anytime.
