At Genoa, adaptability and continuous learning are at the heart of what we do.

Through our Gaining Ground initiative, we're expanding our technical capabilities with specialized AVEVA Marine software training, strengthening our expertise in hull, structural, and outfitting design.

This investment goes beyond learning a new platform. It's about developing our people, broadening our capabilities, and preparing our teams to support a wider range of shipbuilding projects and industry needs.

By combining specialized technical training with support from Genoa Academy, we're building knowledge we can share and develop across our teams.

New skills. New opportunities. The same commitment to delivering excellence.

⚓ Honouring Niobe Day!

On October 21, 1910, HMCS Niobe arrived in Halifax Harbour, becoming the first Canadian warship to enter Canadian waters and marking a significant milestone in Canada's naval history.

Today, we recognize this historic moment and celebrate the proud legacy of the Royal Canadian Navy, along with the generations of sailors, shipbuilders, and maritime professionals who have helped shape Canada's naval heritage.

We’re excited to announce a new multi-year partnership between Genoa Design International and atlantiq AI to advance the use of AI in ship design and engineering.

Over the past year, our teams have worked together to test and validate AI technology within real-world ship design workflows. Now, following successful validation, we’re moving into broader implementation across our design operations.

This partnership brings together Genoa’s decades of shipbuilding expertise with atlantiq AI’s advanced technology to explore how AI can improve quality, strengthen delivery, and give our designers and engineers more capacity to focus on the work that requires their expertise and judgment.

It’s also another step forward in our Digital Ship® vision — strengthening the digital thread from design and construction through operation, sustainment, and eventual decommissioning.
