HELP STEPHENVILLE WIN $100,000 for sports and recreation!

Stephenville is participating in the ParticipACTION Community Challenge, where communities compete to win up to $100,000 for sport and recreation.

How it works:
- Communities track total movement minutes
- The community with the highest participation (adjusted for population) wins.

Small communities like ours are very competitive in this format.

How you (or your organization) can help:
- Register on the ParticipACTION website: https://www.participaction.com/programs/community-challenge/
- Track participation (number of people + time active)
- Submit your data throughout June

Examples include:
- Sports programs (soccer, ball hockey, baseball, etc.)
- Fitness facilities and classes
- Walking groups, gyms, and individual participants

We are aiming for full community participation, and every contribution counts. Stephenville recently won $50,000 for its ice arena. Let's keep the momentum going and win another $100,000 for our community.

If you’re in the Gander area, join us for a community meet-up with SportNL. We'll be sharing information about our programs and services including KidSportNL which provides funding to children in Newfoundland and Labrador to get in the game!

This session is open to organizers, volunteers, and community builders involved in sport in Gander and surrounding areas.
