How fast you can organize your financial documents!
Here’s a quick list you can save ahead of starting your mortgage pre-approval process:

✅ Proof of employment including a recent pay stub
✅ Bank statements that show your proof of downpayment
✅ Details about other assets you might own, such as a car, cabin or boat
✅ Information about your debts or financial obligations including car payments, credit card payments, student loans etc.

✅Know how much home you can afford - Your down payment needed will depend on the purchase price of the home you’re buying. You can’t create a budget if you don’t know how much you need to save!
✅Understand your expenses and debt-to-income ratio - Look at all of your monthly expenses including student loans, car payments, or credit card debt before deciding on what you can afford monthly.
✅Set a goal - Once you do the above steps, set a savings goal with a timeline.
✅Reevaluate current bills - Shop around for insurance or phone bills to see if it’s possible to cut down
✅Set up automatic deposits/transfers - Set up an monthly automatic transfer to your savings account, no excuses!
