A big thank you to Medallion Group Insurance and the Fire Marshal's Public Fire Safety Council for selecting Huntsville Fire Department as a recipient of a Spring into Summer Fire Prevention Kit.

These public education resources will help us continue sharing important fire safety messages throughout our community at school visits, public events, station tours, and other outreach opportunities.

Thank you to Jason Laurin from McDougall Insurance & Financial for stopping by to deliver the kit and for supporting fire prevention and public education efforts across Ontario. We appreciate the partnership and look forward to putting these materials to good use in our community.

Behind every successful search and rescue operation is a team of highly trained volunteers ready to answer the call.

Last year, through our May $6K Community Giveaway, we supported Georgian Bay Volunteer Search & Rescue (GBVSR) with funding for specialized rescue equipment. Our Community Partnerships Coordinator, Shawnna Fournier, also participated in a GBVSR training exercise and experienced firsthand the professionalism, teamwork, and dedication these volunteers bring to every mission.

Seeing the impact of community support in action is a powerful and inspiring reminder of First Responders' commitment to helping others make it home safely.

Spring into Summer: Fire Prevention Campaign Recipients!

“These kits provide invaluable tools to help start the conversation.” ~ Fire Chief Brent Thomas, Innisfil

We are thrilled to be well underway with our Spring into Summer Fire Prevention Campaign, delivering educational kits to fire departments across Ontario. For the third year, Medallion has partnered with the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council to provide these resources, covering everything from smoke alarm maintenance to lithium-ion battery safety.

A special thank you to Medallion by McDougall Insurance, whose support has allowed us to distribute an extra ten kits this season!

We’ve loved visiting the Fire Departments, connecting with the Fire Service, and seeing firsthand how these kits help with community outreach and public education. And there’s more to come, we’re just getting started!
