What is something that I do that I wish more people knew about?
The Registered Disability Savings Plan is one of the most amazing savings opportunities for Canadians who receive the Disability Tax Credit (DTC).
I have focused on building the awareness of these accounts and have quickly seen my clients benefit from the grants & bonds!
Unlike the Education or Retirement Savings Plans (RESP / RRSP), the Disability Savings Plan can be withdrawn for anything after 10 years. I have some accounts that are being used as Education Savings, and some that will be there for when their parents are no longer able to support their needs.
How you can help the people in your life:
If you know of someone under 49, who receives the Disability Tax Credit (DTC), ask them if they have an RDSP.
If they don't, I would love to help show them the benefits and options available to them!
