Let’s be real, money can be a significant source of stress. In fact, according to a recent study on divorce, 68% of respondents said fighting over money was their top reason for getting divorced.
Just as important as creating financial wellness, is finding financial peace. What could be worse than having more than enough, but yet still feeling unsatisfied? It’s easy to feel stressed over the need to build more wealth and earn more money and lose your peace of mind.
The whole point of increasing your wealth is to have peace of mind when it comes to money.
Here are 5 ways to experience financial peace:
1️⃣ Spend money on what brings you joy.
Money gives you the ability to do things that make you happy. This could be like treating a friend to lunch, buying yourself a new book, going on a weekend getaway.
2️⃣ Give money to causes you care about. This is a great way to connect yourself and your money to something bigger. Money allows you to create the type of world you want to live in. Whatever you’re passionate about, find a way to give to it. The more you give, the more you receive.
3️⃣Gain financial clarity.
If you’re feeling afraid that you don’t have enough money or your money will run out, then take some time to really look at your finances. Set up a weekly money ritual to check on your finances regularly. This is your financial self-care time and can help bring your clarity and confidence to your overall situation.
4️⃣ Practice gratitude.
At the beginning of your weekly money ritual, write down 3 things that money has done for you or allowed you to do. There’s always reasons to be grateful for the money you have.
5️⃣ Embrace a minimalist mindset.
Simplify your life and limit your material possessions. Make room for more purpose and intentionality. When you become more thoughtful and intentional about the things you let into your life, then it’s much easier to be content with less
