We are proud to sponsor Marathon of Sport One Time Shot this Saturday September 18th at City Park.

Motionball Marathon of Sport is an all day event in support of Special Olympics Canada.

It brings athletes of all abilities together on the playing field. While fundraising is one of the goals, Marathon of Sports is truly about so much more. The day doesn’t only bring awareness to the Special Olympic Movement but allows people with and without intellectual disabilities to interact, build lifelong friendships and ultimately create more inclusive communities. The highlight of this event is having the opportunity to compete alongside local Special Olympic Athletes and get to know them.

If you wish to spend a few hours on Saturday Sept 18th volunteering, have the desire to participate, want to create a team with some buddies, please let us know!

There is not any pre-existing damage
THERE IS NO DEDUCTIBLE FOR THIS!!

However, if your damaged windshield is deemed unsafe and inappropriate for repair – you will need to replace it and then a deductible does apply.

We have all seen the fleet of scooters rolling up and down our streets this summer but did you know that the Government of BC launched a pilot project allowing them on municipal roads in the following participating communities:
City of Kelowna
City of North Vancouver
City of Vancouver
City of Vernon
District of North Vancouver
District of West Vancouver
City of Nanaimo
City of Richmond
These communities are required to enact bylaws to allow for the use of these types of scooters on their highways or roads.
The electric kick scooters cannot be registered, licensed or insured with ICBC

IMPACT is an auto crime enforcement team that operates year around and is made of specialized auto theft investigators. They are continually developing innovative strategies to reduce auto crime in BC.

The BAIT Car Program is maintained by IMPACT in order to deter and capture auto thieves!

In recognition of National Indigenous History Month – Radio Stations across Canada have come together in an unprecedented collaboration to elevate, hear, and learn from Indigenous Voices in A DAY TO LISTEN.

Recently there has been discoveries of unmarked, mass graves at residential schools across Canada. A Day To Listen is to remind Canadians that more than 150,000 Indigenous Children were forcibly taken from their families, their homes and their culture and placed in residential schools. These schools were designed to delete their language, traditions and teachings. More than 4100 children never made it home.

Is a head rest a safety device? 🤔

The answer is Y E S. ✅
A correctly adjusted head rest(raint) can help prevent soft tissue neck and back injuries (AKA WHIPLASH) during an accident, which are the most common type of injuries in motor vehicle accidents.

When it’s correctly positioned, the head restraint will prevent your head and neck from jolting on impact.

How to position correctly:
Make sure the top of your head is level with the top of the head rest
Position the head rest so it’s as close to the back of your head as possible (which may involve adjusting the back of the seat)
Check in with your passengers to make sure all are adjusted properly.

⭐️FUN FACT: ⭐️
ICBC was a leader in helping build a better head rest. In 1995 ICBC developed the Head Restraint Measurement Device in collaboration with RONA Kinetics. It is now used as a standard for geometric ratings and to date, there are more than 300 HRMD’s in use around the world. 🌎

A N O T H E R R E F U N D 🤯

From October 2020 – March 2021 ICBC saw fewer reported crashes and lower claim costs, so they’re returning net savings of about $350 million directly to ICBC customers who had an active policy during that period.

On average, customers will receive a $120 rebate per policy, which ICBC plans to start distributing mid-July. 💰
