Most incorporated business owners are still maxing out their RRSPs.

And at $33,810 for 2026, that already feels significant.

But for incorporated professionals over 40 who are drawing T4 income from their corporation, there may be another strategy worth exploring.

It’s called an Individual Pension Plan (IPP).

An IPP can allow for larger retirement contributions over time, with contributions generally deductible at the corporate level.

And in 2026, more incorporated business owners are starting to pay attention to it.

The issue usually isn’t awareness.

It’s that no one has actually sat down to compare the numbers and determine whether it makes sense for their situation.
