The Bank of Canada just raised the rate by 1%.. even more than the 0.75% that was predicted.

The Bank of Canada has hiked its overnight interest rate by 100 basis points to 2.5 per cent, following higher than-expected inflation. It is the biggest rate hike by the central bank since August, 1998.

May market stats for Edmonton are in. The data shows inventory going up 4% and sales down 6%. With a recent interest rate hike, it will be interesting to see what June will bring.
