By contributing to an RESP for your child's future education, you would be eligible for a matching grant of 20% of your contributions. The maximum lifetime grant is $7200...which could essentially pay for a year of tuition and other expenses.

Feel free to reach out if you have questions about how this works and how to set one up.

How do INFLATION and BACK TO SCHOOL relate to each other?

Well...the cost of education is typically INCREASING at a higher rate than inflation here in Canada year over year, which means that your purchasing power erodes quite quickly. Let's look at an example...

The average tuition cost in Canada between two time periods 50 years apart looks like this:

1972/1973: $𝟱𝟯𝟰...

2022/2023: $𝟲𝟴𝟯𝟰!

The inflation rate for that same period was about 3.94%. With a bit of math, we can see that this cost rose much more quickly than inflation.

So what are you doing to protect your purchasing power? Let's chat about how we can help ensure you and your children benefit from your hard-earned savings in paying for education.
