Today is definitely a Milestone to be thankful for as it is the 5 year and One Day anniversary of Brent Slavik Financial! (I didn’t want too take away from Mother’s Day by posting yesterday 😅).

I was told when I started this journey into financial planning that the first five years were the toughest. It’s crazy to see how far things have come from working out of a spare bedroom office and driving all over the countryside to see clients in their homes, to having an amazing team working out of my central office. I would like to thank all of my clients, friends, and family for all the support in helping my business grow into what it is today on this important career milestone!

With the current market fluctuation, l just wanted to put out a friendly reminder of what happened in 2008 and the recovery period following. These are historic values and cannot be used to predict the future, but the yellow line shows staying the course in the equity market, red shows selling out and trying to buy back in later, green shows selling stocks and moving to a bond portfolio, and blue is selling out entirely and holding cash.
