If you're in your grades 9-12 and you want to learn about building wealth, this is for you!

Here are 3 tips that can help you get started:

1. Save your money. A key to building wealth is to live below your means so practicing restraint by setting aside your money instead of spending it is wise.

2. Give generously. We are called to give from what God has provided us. Learning this principle early will help you grow your wealth with a contented heart to give from what you receive.

3. Gain knowledge about finances. If you don't know much about financial concepts, that's okay! Build on whatever foundation you do have and learn how to make your money work for you.

Congratulations to this year’s recipients of the Stewardship Scholarship from the Edmonton area!

These recipients are headed on some great career paths:

Oliver plans to attend Olds College to take a 2 year program in Heavy Duty Mechanics.

Micah will be attending the University of Alberta for a Bachelor of Music in Composition and Sonic Arts.

Rachael is enrolled at The King's University to study Psychology and Biology within the interdisciplinary science program.

If you receive a call from someone claiming to be your family or represent your family, take a pause.

Scammers target people by using their family members because they know how we would want to help family in times of need.

Do not give out personal information to a caller if you have not verified their identity.

To verify someone's identity, you can:
- Ask the caller a question that only your true family would know.
- Hang up and call the number of the family member that you have on record to ask about the call you received.

Take these steps to avoid becoming a victim of an emergency scam.

Congratulations to this year’s recipients of the Stewardship Scholarship! Read more about the future plans of these graduates from the Lethbridge area:

Levi plans to attend Lethbridge Polytechnic to become a Heavy Equipment Technician Journeyman.

Kaelyn is enrolled in the Early Years Education program at the University of Lethbridge.

Owen will also be attending the University of Lethbridge in pursuit of a degree in Kinesiology and Education.

Jasara will be studying at The King’s University to obtain a degree in Chemistry.

Do you know what your banking supports?

For Deanna, it became important to her that her banking supported causes that aligned with her values. Deanna had been banking at the same financial institution for 45 years, but she moved all her accounts to Christian Credit Union after discovering that her banking would support the Christian community.

Deanna says of her switch to Christian Credit Union, “I’ve moved to a more personable bank where I feel that I am seen, my questions are answered, and I am a part of something that helps my community as well.”
