Sheri Wright had long recognized the need for better financial literacy education for everyone from students to seniors. In 2017, she started to channel that passion into her work as a volunteer Board Director for the AIMCo Foundation for Financial Education.

Volunteers like Sheri drive the work of the Foundation, which last year distributed more than $450,000 to nonprofit organizations and students across our province.

When it comes to financial literacy, getting the right information to the right person at the right time can be the difference between financial precarity and stability.

Last year, the AIMCo Foundation for Financial Education distributed a record annual high of $450,000 to ensure access to financial empowerment services for everyone who calls our province home — including those in rural communities and urban centres, seniors and teenagers, newcomers and life-long residents of Alberta.

Browse the Foundation's 2024 impact report, Empowering Access, to learn more about how AIMCo volunteers alongside corporate and community partners are moving the needle on inclusive financial literacy and education for all Albertans.
