With 21 years of experience in the insurance industry, Magdalena has built a respected career specializing in professional liability and risk management for design firms. Since joining Navacord in July 2005, she has worked with her team to support more than 350 design consulting firms across Canada.

A recognized leader in her field, Magdalena serves as treasurer of the Professional Liability Agents Network (PLAN) and will become its president in September 2026. She is also an honorary director with Consulting Engineers of Alberta (CEA).

What Magdalena finds most rewarding about her role is the complexity and challenge of professional liability and specialty lines insurance. She enjoys helping clients navigate unique risks and develop solutions that support their long-term success.

Beyond her client work, Magdalena is passionate about mentorship. She is particularly committed to helping women recognize their potential, build confidence and advance into executive leadership roles in the insurance industry.

Outside of work, Magdalena enjoys staying active and spending time in the mountains. Whether skiing, hiking, cycling or exploring new outdoor adventures, she is happiest when surrounded by nature. Penny has been part of the insurance industry since 2003, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to supporting small businesses. She joined Navacord through the acquisition of Pratt Lambert & Brown Insurance and has been with Navacord since 2019 in the Small Business (Ventures) department.

In her role, Penny focuses on assisting small businesses in placing the right coverage to support their operations and long-term growth. She finds great satisfaction in being the initial stepping stone for new business ventures, helping them navigate their coverage needs as they establish and grow. Watching businesses flourish from the ground up is one of the most rewarding aspects of her work.

Working in Small Business allows her to engage with a wide variety of industries, allowing her to continuously learn and adapt to diverse insurance needs.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her grown-up children and family, gardening, and listening to music. Penny is also an avid vinyl collector, appreciating both the sound and character of classic records.
