A quick recipe for your Tuesday afternoon snacking needs!

The Base: Toast a thick slice of sourdough or crusty bread until deeply golden.
The Garlic Trick: Cut a raw garlic clove in half and rub the cut side firmly across the rough surface of the hot toast. It acts like a grater, leaving behind an incredible, subtle garlic flavor.
The Layers: Top with sliced fresh mozzarella (or a smear of ricotta/cream cheese), ripe tomato slices, and fresh basil leaves.
The Finish: Drizzle generously with good olive oil, a splash of balsamic glaze if you have it, and a heavy pinch of flaky sea salt and cracked black pepper.

Yum!

Did your bank just send you a renewal notice? Before you sign it and send it back, ask yourself: has your life changed since you first got this mortgage? Do you have high-interest debt you want to wipe out? Are you planning a major home renovation? Do you need to adjust your monthly payments?

A renewal isn’t just a paperwork formality, it’s your best opportunity to restructure your mortgage to fit your life right now. Let’s review your offer together and make it work for you.

Let’s talk amortization.

When you’re shopping for a mortgage, it’s easy to focus entirely on the interest rate. But the length of your amortization period (how long you take to pay off the loan entirely) plays a massive role in your overall financial picture.

A shorter amortization: Means higher monthly payments, but you pay significantly less interest over the life of the loan and build equity much faster.

A longer amortization: Lowers your monthly commitment, freeing up cash flow, but costs you more in total interest over time.

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer, it depends entirely on your current cash flow and long-term goals. Reach out for more info!

It’s no secret we’ve been seeing a lot of rain lately.

It’s easy to get tired of the gray skies, but there’s a reason for it: the rain is exactly what makes everything bloom.

The home buying journey can feel a lot like that sometimes.

Between gathering paperwork, building up credit, saving for a down payment, or waiting for the right interest rate environment. It can feel like a long, slow, rainy season.

But every single step you take right now is watering the seeds of your financial future. The prep work you do in the quiet, overcast moments is exactly what allows you to confidently open the door to your dream home later.

If you’re waiting for your real estate goals to bloom, you don’t have to navigate the rainy seasons alone. Let’s sit down, review your numbers, and build a plan to get you ready for spring.

There is a huge difference between a bank transaction and a relationship.

When a client trusts me to help them finance their home, it’s a massive privilege. But when that same client sends their sibling, their coworker, or their best friend my way? Honestly, there’s no higher compliment in this business.

As an independent broker, my business is fueled entirely by the incredible people I serve.

When you leave a Google review or introduce me to someone in your circle who is looking to buy, refinance, or renew, you aren’t just helping me grow, you’re helping your friends and family get the dedicated, personalized support they deserve during one of the biggest financial moves of their lives.

To everyone who has ever passed along my name or dropped a kind review online: Thank you. You are the heartbeat of this business, and I’m so grateful to have you in my corner!

Sundays are for the ultimate reset. Today’s itinerary includes a warm mug between two hands, the book I’ve been meaning to finish all week, and absolutely zero guilt about staying inside. Wishing you a wonderful cozy Sunday as well!

June is officially here, and while Edmonton didn’t exactly get the “sunny summer” memo yet, there is a silver lining to all this gray.

It’s definitely still pretty gloomy out there, but if you look past the clouds, the city is absolutely thriving. The river valley and our neighborhood parks haven’t looked this vibrant and green in a long time. The rain has done its job—now we’re all just collectively waiting for the weather to catch up so we can actually get out and enjoy it.

Until the clouds finally break and the patios officially open, we’re leaning into the cozy, slow-paced side of spring. It’s the perfect weather for supporting your favorite local coffee shop, tackling those indoor projects you’ve been putting off, or just enjoying a quiet weekend inside.

If this damp, gray stretch has you spending more time at the kitchen table looking over your upcoming plans or looking at your finances, I’m always here for a casual, no-pressure chat (and a warm coffee).

Now that the spring rain has done its job, Edmonton is finally greening up! There’s nothing quite like walking through the River Valley or spending a Saturday morning hitting up a local greenhouse. Owning a home isn’t just about interest rates and amortization schedules—it’s about building a life in a community you love. Whether that means a backyard big enough for a massive vegetable garden in Mill Creek, or a low-maintenance patio setup in a sleek Griesbach townhome. If you’re dreaming about where you want to spend next summer, the planning starts now. Let’s look at what’s possible for your budget so you can buy with confidence.
