First camping trip of the season and here’s what we saw:
Black bear, Mama Moose & baby out for a swim, Mama Grizz with 3 cubs commuting around the lake, and mountain sheep…it was a full 4 days out in our new Aliner…we can’t wait for next adventure ✨

So we took Colin’s Mom to Toronto to see two Blue Jays games for Mother’s Day weekend and I completely forgot to post day number two.

I can’t even begin to describe how exciting it was to arrive at these seats and she was so thrilled. We ALL were!
What a good weekend. 🥰

✨How I start the morning.
Welcome to our morning commute!
Coffee in hand, we head about 15 blocks south, taking in the view of this beautiful city which never disappoints and changes day to day.
From moody skies to snow capped peaks in the distance… observing all the commuters, joggers, and bikers buzzing around heading somewhere important.
Then we head home for another cup of coffee and it’s time to get to work.
No stress in this commute. Only joy 🥰✨
(unless you count Ellie’s angst at having to wait for me to edit this on the side of the hill 😜)

🎥 Does anyone else’s dog do this?

👀 Ellie will sit through entire nature shows and movies with lots of animal scenes. Riveted to the screen…It’s fascinating watching her ears move around and head shifts as she makes her observations 🤭
Occasionally, she requires a closer look.

😋All that’s left…this is what remains of a home made Dutch Butter/Almond cake from a very dear friend along with this beautiful art card from PEI artist Renée Laprise which I’ll frame and keep in my office. 🖼️

♥️My friend chose this card for me based on the inscription on the back.
“It’s so YOU” she said and she didn’t even know about my joy for mushrooms! 🍄 (Not those kind).

✨Connecting people is really close to my heart and it’s always been a natural tendency of mine.

As a kid, I didn’t have one friend group. Instead, I bounced between what we’d call the 😎 cool kids, 🤓the nerds, 🏒the jocks, and the over-achievers 🧐…then I’d become the connector, making introductions and widening peer perspectives.
I loved it and I still do it today.

🤷🏻‍♀️My POV: cliques are boring and don’t foster growth.
Variety is my jam and the anticipation of what I’ll discover in my next conversation is a thrill.

⁉️Have you ever been in a situation where you thought of saying hi to someone or even exchanged few words of small talk but didn’t? On a dog walk or at the grocery store?

Maybe you were in a hurry or just a little too shy about it and the moment passed. Later, you wondered what would’ve happened if you had?
