As expected by two-thirds of economists, the BoC (Bank of Canada) cut their interest rate by another 0.50% this morning.

What does this mean for you??
Well, if you have a Variable rate mortgage or a HELOC... Congratulations! You just saved money every month 😄

Fixed rates on the other hand are not based on these announcements but instead are affected by the Bond market. The bond market anticipates what the BoC will do so fixed rates have already come down over the last number of months.
