Start building your savings for the unexpected. An emergency fund is savings (often in a separate bank account) set aside to pay for unexpected life events and emergencies (i.e. loss of job, unforeseen medical expenses, home or vehicle fixes etc). Emergency savings create a buffer that can keep you afloat in a time of need without having to rely on credit cards or high-interest loans. Tip: High-interest savings accounts are a great way to have your money grow faster. Having a portion of your income automatically transferred into your savings account is a great way to ensure savings.
