ISA-SAIT Student section is hosting this years Student World Games via a Webinar on March 27th 2021. If you would like to attend, registration for the event will open on March 20th 2021 MST and close on March 24th 2021 MST. To register please visit isasait.ca. Reserve your spot early!!

[ISA-SAIT Industry Night 2020] January 22, 2020
We had the chance to network with industry professionals from 27 different companies (the biggest turnout yet!). The event proceeded in a "speed dating" style where you and a group of students gathered at a table for around 10 minutes with the company representatives.
- Interact with industry professionals as they talk about their company, entry-level jobs, and the inner workings of the industry. Make a positive impression on employers to increase your chance of landing that elusive first job.
- Each company is provided with a table. Students converse in groups with company representatives in 10 to 15-minute intervals. This format lets you meet a wide variety of employers over the course of the night.
- A binder and thumb drive of all student resumes are compiled and presented to each industry attendee before the event.

[ISA-SAIT 2019 Throwback]
There is something special happened in 2019 that we haven't shared with you on our Instagram and Facebook.

🎉 3 months ago, at the ISA Gala and Award dinner, the "Section Excellence award 2019, was bestowed upon our very own ISA-SAIT Student Section.

"This is an amazing accomplishment as the student section was not only competing against other student sections, but industry sections from around the world as well.

CONGRATULATIONS to the various ISA-SAIT Student sections members, alumni, instructors and MSE management that have supported and contributed over the years, culminating in this most prestigious award of excellence!!"

✨ The last few pictures were taken at ISA Calgary's December Technical Dinner & Awards Night on December 9 which was also wonderful.
Though taken for granted,industry,national, and international standards are the foundation on which our standard of living and industry are built and developed by ISA and other Standards Developing Organisations.

We were hosting Bina Kamath, who has been a working professional in Human Resources for past 15 years. She is currently the HR Leader at CNRL. Bina also works with many philanthropic organizations, including Women in Leadership and serves as an Executive Director.
The workshop focused on professional networking skills which are invaluable to the students to present themselves in the best possible light.

[ ISA-SAIT Membership Drive 2019-2020 ]
On September 30th, we had a great event, ISA-SAIT Membership Drive, which provided a chance for all IIET students to discuss with the reputed ISA Calgary Board Members for a short discussion about ISA and the potential benefit it can offer IIET students.
A huge thanks to ISA Calgary for offering a FREE ISA membership to all 1st and 2nd year students who attend the event for the year of 2019-2020.

January 23rd, this year #2019 , was the IET Industry Night, a non-profit event for the students of the IET program. The event was a great chance to meet with local instrumentation companies, network with industry professionals, and receive some information about their respective companies.

The purpose of the event is threefold:
• To provide companies with a convenient way to assess potential future employees
• To provide students with an opportunity to network with industry professionals and jumpstart their career
• To maintain our relationship with local instrumentation and oil & gas companies, as both SAIT and the ISA-SAIT Student Section benefit greatly from their continued goodwill.
