Earlier this month, our team had the honour of being part of the 2nd Annual Mel Anaka Tournament — a softball weekend unlike any
other, where players, families, volunteers, and sponsors came together to raise funds for cancer research and to support Mel's son, Kade.

Mel was a teacher, a teammate, and a friend to so many in Calgary's softball community for more than 20 years. Losing her left a hole in a lot of hearts — but that weekend showed exactly what she built: a village that shows up for each other, celebrates together, and takes care of its own.

A special thank you to our own Mary Bellamy, who was right in the middle of it all. We're so proud to support this community, and so grateful it lets us be part of moments like this.
