VERY IMPORTANT NEWS TO ALL HOTELIERS!

Class action lawsuit has been settled with Canadian Banks and Visa & MasterCard in regards to interchange fees & imposing rules restricting merchants' ability to surcharge or refuse higher cost of Visa and Mastercard credit cards

KEY POINTS:

> $131 Million is available for settlements

> Must submit a claim before Sept 30, 2022

> Small merchants will be eligible to claim $30 per year (no documentation required)

> Medium merchants will be eligible to claim $250 per year (will need to provide a copy of the merchant agreement)

> Small merchants are defined as yearly revenues less than $5 Million

> Medium-sized merchants are defined as yearly revenues between $5- $20 million
