March 1, 2022 is the deadline for contributing to an RRSP for the 2021 tax year. The maximum is 18% of earned income you reported on your tax return in the previous year, up to a maximum of $27,830.

As some of you may have heard, London Life, Great West Life, and Canada Life are moving to one name and brand, Canada Life. I have heard, but can not confirm, that 60% of Canadians have some sort of product, personal or through work, with the new Canada Life. For now, everything stays the same as this transition will take time to complete. Hohmann Financial Group is not changing. I think this will be a good change, giving our clients more options and easier access.
