→ As you're likely aware by now, animal rescue & advocacy is a huge reason why we do what we do here at .

An organization near and dear to our heart, BARC's Rescue, is currently transporting 42 dogs from a high-kill shelter in Bakersfield, California, saving them from euthanasia.

Once in Calgary, ALL of those dogs have a FOSTER HOME lined up; meaning, no dogs to sit in a cold, concrete shelter!

The flight will land at approximately 5:30pm and the dogs will then start their road to finding their forever home in Calgary, Cranbrook & Edmonton area(s).

We've teamed up with Colton Peters - Mortgage Connection & Finn + Friends to donate a roll of p**p bags to all fosters (and their dogs!) who are stepping up - it isn't much, just a little thank-you for opening their hearts & homes to these creatures.

The mortgage interest cost index (+30.6%) posted another record year-over-year gain and remained the largest contributor to headline inflation.

Mortgages are costing more now. Many are feeling the effects. And if you haven't yet, you might soon. But, depending on the situation, there may be options to ease the payment shock.

Why should you have your mortgage broker obtain a 'rate-hold' today?

Mortgage rates continue to rise. This can result in the feeling of being priced out of making a home purchase quicker than you have time to find the right property. When you feel rushed, it takes the fun out of what should be an enjoyable experience.

This problem is solved with a rate-hold.

My clients who are looking to purchase their first (or second, or third, etc.) home, but do not want to rush their search, have received a rate hold, guaranteeing them a price (interest rate) for 120 days.

And these buyers, because of their guaranteed price, will be saving up to a couple hundred dollars per month on their mortgage payment.
