A quick thought that I had today, while out enjoying this beautiful Calgary sunshine…

One common thing that I have noticed since entering the mortgage industry, is that many people quietly wonder about their mortgage or home buying options, but they are often not sure who to ask.

Sometimes it’s things like:

One thing that I have learned since working in the mortgage industry is that most people don’t actually start with a mortgage application….They start with questions:

• “How much could I qualify for?”

• “Do I need 20% down?”

• “Should I renew with my bank or look at other options?”

• “Is now even the right time to buy?”

The truth is, your best first step is simply understanding what options that are available to you and your unique situation.

✨ A little life update…

The past week has been a reminder that health always comes first. I’ve been recovering from a concussion and taking it slower than usual which, if you know me, is not easy.

But even while resting, I have been reflecting on why I stepped into this industry in the first place.

I’m building something meaningful.
Something long-term.
Something rooted in trust.

And I’m very grateful for the clients, friends, and mentors cheering me on as I grow.

My “why” is deeply personal.

As a mom, I understand how much a home represents. There’s something incredibly personal about a home. It’s not just a transaction, it’s where your life happens. It’s where you exhale at the end of the day. It’s where your kids run through the hallway. It’s where your children grow, where memories are made, and where stability is built.

That’s what led me into the mortgage industry.

One of the biggest misconceptions I see is that you should wait until your mortgage renewal is right around the corner before exploring your options.

In reality, the best time to review your mortgage is months in advance and not when the bank sends a letter with a deadline.

Here’s why starting early matters:
