Carrot Ventures After more than 20 years of investing in start-ups, AVAC Group kept seeing tech companies struggle, stall and outright fail for the same reasons.

Carrot is a venture studio that co-founds new companies that combine innovative
agricultural technologies, strong leadership, and capital to take great innovations to market. While start-ups generally say they suffer from a lack of financing, the real reasons are almost always one or more of the following:

Value propositions don’t address substantive market problems

CEOs and management teams a

re lacking in areas important to investors

Overcomplicated corporate and capital structures that deter investors

Inexperience with raising capital

Insufficient governance to satisfy investor risk tolerance

Any one of these challenges makes it difficult to raise capital. In combination, they make it nearly impossible to attract the investment needed to finance commercialization. AVAC Group developed Carrot to address these challenges head-on. Our solution is to create new companies that tick all the boxes for investors. With the core barriers to investment removed, companies have an easier time accessing resources. Not everyone wants to vend their technology to a third party. However, for IP owners who would prefer someone else commercialize their innovation, Carrot offers a compelling solution.
