Will Marshall Insurance Brokers Ltd. Providing Insurance Advice, Advocacy, Integrity & Dependability which make a difference. Treating you like Family since 1983.

Will Marshall Insurance Broker’s mission is to provide insurance advice, advocacy, integrity and dependability which make a difference. With a long history of loyalty and service our roots can be traced back to 1983. In 1983 Will Marshall working at the Simcoe District Co-Op in Barrie, left his eleven year administrative position to join in a partnership with his brother Douglas G. Marshall as a r

egistered insurance broker in the city of Orillia. Will’s long term goal was to grow the Orillia office and expand into other areas of Simcoe County. In 1989, Will incorporated Will Marshall Insurance Brokers and in 1991 amalgamated the Orillia office under the same corporate name. Many of the relationships Will made during his sojourn with Simcoe District Co-Op formed the foundation of our brokerage today. Will’s passion in his new environment contributed to the ongoing success of his brokerage.

⚠️ Important Change Coming July 1, 2026 ⚠️

Starting July 1, 2026, Income Replacement Benefits will no longer automatically be included in every Ontario auto insurance policy. Drivers will have the option to remove this coverage to lower premiums.

That means if you opt out of IRB coverage and are injured in an accident, you may not have income protection through your auto policy.

So what exactly is Income Replacement Benefit coverage?

If you’re injured in a car accident and unable to work, Income Replacement Benefits can help replace part of your lost income while you recover — regardless of who caused the accident.

Currently, standard Ontario auto insurance policies include:
✔️ Up to 70% of your gross weekly income
✔️ Maximum of $400/week
✔️ Benefits begin after a 1-week waiting period
✔️ Optional higher limits are available

Your existing income replacement limits and other optional benefit limits will be grandfathered on your renewal.

Many people don’t realize how valuable this coverage can be until they need it. Reviewing your policy and understanding your options is more important than ever.

Have questions about your accident benefits coverage or upcoming Ontario auto insurance changes? Contact us today — we’re happy to help. 📞

⏰ Time change reminder!
Now that the clocks have changed this weekend, it’s the perfect time to take a minute to check your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors.

-Test each alarm
-Replace batteries if needed
- Make sure detectors are installed on every level of your home
- if you have any fuel-burning appliance or attached garage, a CO alarm is now required to be installed outside every sleeping area and on every level of your home- even those without a bedroom!
-be sure to check all locations- home, cottage, man cave and office!

These small checks can make a big difference in keeping your family safe.
Take a minute today to stay safe! 🏡🔥
