Today, on International Womenâs Day, weâre proud to recognise five exceptional women helping to shape the future of pharmacy.
As we prepare for APP 2026, weâve had the privilege of collaborating with:
Georgina Twomey, Managing Director, Alive Pharmacy Group
Elyse Burraston, Owner and Pharmacist in Charge, Cashmere Village Pharmacy
Natalie Sirianni, Pharmacy Business Broker, Attain Pty Ltd
Monique Mackrill, Stakeholder and Industry Affairs Manager, Pharmacy Guild Australia
Theyâll join Belinda Sirio, our very own GuildSuper Head of Partnerships, on stage for Women in Pharmacy: The Business, the Barriers and the Breakthroughs â a candid conversation about pharmacy ownership, leadership and building sustainable businesses in todayâs environment.
Each of these five women brings a different perspective â from business growth and ownership to industry advocacy and commercial strategy. Whatâs been clear in every conversation is the depth of expertise, ambition and leadership across our sector.
This yearâs International Womenâs Day theme in Australia, Balance the Scales, is a powerful reminder that while progress has been made, thereâs still more to do.
In superannuation, women retire with around 25% less super than men on average*. The scales are still tipped.
At GuildSuper, where most of our members are women working in pharmacy, balancing the scales is more than a theme â itâs part of our responsibility. Itâs about supporting better financial outcomes, championing informed decisions, and helping women build the retirement they deserve.
Weâre proud to support conversations that encourage more women to step forward, back themselves, and build successful businesses â and strong financial futures alongside them.
If youâre heading to APP on the Gold Coast, join us for our panel Women in Pharmacy: The Business, the Barriers and the Breakthroughs on Saturday 14 March at 2:35pm. Weâd love to see you there.
*Women aged 60-64 have median super balances 25.7% lower than men. Source: ASFA, An update on superannuation balances, 2025.
