**SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING**

Severe Thunderstorm Warning
for DAMAGING WINDS, LARGE HAILSTONES and HEAVY RAINFALL
For people in Eastern Eyre Peninsula and parts of West Coast, Flinders, Riverland, North West Pastoral and North East Pastoral districts.

Issued at 5:47 pm Saturday, 6 January 2024.
Fast moving severe thunderstorms in the Pastoral districts and northern agricultural area.

Weather Situation: A trough of low pressure combined with an upper low to the west is triggering severe thunderstorms.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding over the next several hours in the Eastern Eyre Peninsula and parts of the West Coast, Flinders and North West Pastoral districts. Locations which may be affected include Whyalla, Port Augusta, Coober Pedy, Roxby Downs, Wudinna and Woomera.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding over the next several hours in parts of the Riverland and North East Pastoral districts. Locations which may be affected include Renmark and Berri.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Move cars under cover or away from trees.
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.

The next warning is due to be issued by 8:50 pm.

When looking at lodgment of a claim its important to have the following details on hand so we can accurately manage your claim and hopefully speed up the process.

• The date, time and location of where the loss occurred
•A detailed explanation of what happened and what was damaged or lost
•Your ABN and ITC % for both premium and claim (if applicable)
•EFT details for fast settlement

documents showing the following:
:Photos showing the damage being claimed
::A quote or invoice to repair the damage to your home or contents
:If the items are not repairable, a quote to replace them
:A report from a qualified repairer for building damage
or fusion claims (for Home & Contents Claims)
:Receipt and invoice showing you owns the item or items being claimed
:Details of Third Party if they are at fault / name, address, contact number, email, their insurer details or claim number.
For tenant claims, a copy of the last inspection report

Having these details handy when lodging the claim will help the Claims Managers efficiently handle your claims.
