🏡REFLECTIVE MILESTONE🏡

As Mortgage Brokers, it’s easy to get caught up in everyday activities - assessing financial situations, exploring loan options, negotiating terms, guiding clients through the application process, ensuring a smooth settlement - not for just one client at a time, but all of these activities, all of the time, and for multiple clients - simultaneously!

After three years of dedication, planning, nurturing, lost opportunities, change of financial circumstances, and going back to the drawing board time and time again… today, I’m so grateful to have finally secured a home for my client. 🙌🏾 🍾

From initial dreams to final approval, every step was worth it, and although I can absolutely appreciate the amount or work, patience and effort that it took to finally achieve this, it is also important to take a moment to reflect that’s it not even about us and all the different hats we have to juggle, it’s actually about our clients and their journey to home ownership, and what we have been entrusted to do.

Our success shouldn’t be determined by the loan amount or the number of applications settled, it’s about the people and the futures we help build… even it takes three years!! ☺️🏠

Create a plan. Trust the process. Go to work. Never give up.

Full circle moment 🙌 Back at a personal development day that I first attended when I started out in broking. I still remember being nervous and full of ambition.

I gave myself 2 years to give it everything and see if I can make a career out of this. I didn’t know many people, but I soaked up every insight, every conversation, every panel discussion.

Today reminded me that everyone starts somewhere, that curiosity and determination go a long way, and that connections over coffee or hallway conversations can change the direction of your career.

I loved catching up with old colleagues and mentors, now good friends, and watching the new to industry brokers wide-eyed and motivated, was a trip down memory lane.

Crazy how much can change - and how valuable it is to still come back. In saying that, some things don’t change - I’m still learning, still growing, still inspired!

(Side note: the food and freebies definitely don’t hurt 😄)

RBA CASH RATE vs YOUR BANKS INTEREST RATE

Just because the RBA drops the cash rate, it doesn’t mean your bank will!

RBA sets the base, but the banks set their own.

Don’t get confused with what the media says about the cash rate and what you think your home loan rate will be!
