❤️ Farewell Stacey — after 11 wonderful years

After more than a decade as part of Community Bank Mt Martha, it’s time for us to say a very fond farewell to our Branch Manager, Stacey Wakeman.

Stacey first walked through our doors in October 2015 as a Customer Relationship Officer on what was originally a nine-month contract. Thankfully for us, those nine months turned into 11 years!

Over that time, Stacey has grown alongside our branch, progressing from Customer Relationship Officer to Customer Relations Manager, then Assistant Branch Manager, before becoming Branch Manager in 2023.

But Stacey’s contribution to Community Bank Mt Martha has always been about much more than the positions she has held.

Over the years, she has built lasting relationships with customers, supported and mentored her team, shared an incredible depth of local knowledge and helped foster the genuine culture of service and community connection that sits at the heart of our branch.

As Branch Manager, Stacey has led with professionalism, integrity and, most importantly, care — for her staff, for our customers and for the community we are here to serve.

And in a Community Bank, that community connection means a great deal.

Stacey has been part of countless conversations, relationships and moments that have helped our branch grow and, in turn, allowed us to continue giving back to the Mt Martha community. She has championed local organizations, represented our bank throughout the community and understood that what we do has always been about much more than banking.

From that first nine-month contract to leading the branch she had already given so much to, Stacey leaves behind a legacy we are incredibly grateful for.

Stacey, thank you for 11 years of dedication, leadership, friendship and heart. ❤️

You have been such an important part of the Community Bank Mt Martha story, and while we are very sad to see you go, we are so excited for you as you begin your next chapter.

🔴🔵 COMMUNITY BANK MOUNT MARTHA ROUND – THIS SATURDAY AT CIVIC RESERVE! 🔵🔴

This Saturday is shaping up as one of the biggest days of the season at Civic Reserve, with football running from 9:00am right through until the Senior Men's clash at 3:00pm!

From our Mini Mariners and MiniRoos through to our Juniors, Reserves and Senior Men, it's a full day of Mariners football as we celebrate Community Bank Mount Martha Round.

A huge thank you to Community Bank Mount Martha, whose staff will be on-site throughout the day. Be sure to stop by, say hello and thank them for their ongoing support of our club and local community.

Here's what's happening:

⚽ Mini Mariners (Under 6) kick off the day with their weekly session from 9:00am.
⚽ MiniRoos & Junior matches begin from 9:00am, with football continuing throughout the morning.
⚽ Reserves vs Keysborough District – 1:00pm
⚽ Senior Men vs Keysborough District – 3:00pm

🍔 Our canteen will be open all day, serving breakfast, lunch, snacks and drinks.
🍻 The Tar Barrel Pop-Up Bar returns for the afternoon, serving throughout the Reserves and Senior Men's matches and into the post-game.

👧👦 Our Under 7 players will proudly walk out with the Senior Men as this week's mascots before kick-off, before returning to the pitch for some half-time fun.

⛳ At half-time of the Senior Men's match, test your skills in the Sportsco Mornington Nearest to the Pin Challenge. There'll be prizes up for grabs, so make sure you're there to have a crack!

Whether you're bringing the kids to Mini Mariners, cheering on your junior or staying on to support our Senior Men, there's something happening all day at Civic Reserve.

Let's fill the club with red and blue as we celebrate football, community and one of our club's great partners.

After a fantastic weekend that saw our Senior Men, State League 3 Women and Over 35 Women all come away with important victories, the Mariners will be looking to keep the momentum rolling! 💪⚽

This weekend is also our Community Bank Mount Martha Round, proudly celebrating one of our club's major partners and their incredible support of football in our community.

Where community connections grow 🌱

There’s something pretty special about seeing a space our community helped create being filled with people, conversation, creativity and a little bit of gardening!

This week, the Wellness Centre at The Bays welcomed a very special local community champion, Ailz Pedder from Bunnings Mornington, for a hands-on potted decorating workshop.

Ailz has a wonderful role within Bunnings Mornington, dedicated to building connections between the store and our local community. She works with schools, community groups, aged care and rehabilitation facilities, sporting and gardening groups, emergency services and many more — finding practical ways Bunnings can lend a hand.

And this week, that helping hand came with pots, herbs and plenty of heart. 💚

Ailz created a relaxed morning where those affected by cancer could decorate and plant their own pots, enjoy some time away from appointments and treatments, and simply create, chat and connect with the people around them.

These are the moments we love seeing inside the Wellness Centre.

When Community Bank Mount Martha provided funding to help create this beautiful space, it was with the hope that it would become somewhere our community could find support, connection and a little light during challenging times.

Seeing people like Ailz generously bring their time, skills and community spirit through its doors is exactly what it’s all about.

A huge thank you to Ailz and the Bunnings Mornington team for being such wonderful local community partners.

It turns out a little pot of herbs can grow something much bigger. 🌱💚

Stitched with love, made for our community 🧸❤️

There was plenty of stuffing, stitching and conversation happening when we caught up with the wonderful ladies from Mornington Peninsula Patchworkers recently!

This year, our team member Jen chose Mornington Peninsula Patchworkers as one of the recipients of her Community Bank Mount Martha staff donation — and once you see what these talented women do for others, it’s easy to understand why.

For more than 40 years, the group has brought local people together through a shared love of patchwork, quilting and textile arts. But perhaps even more special is the way they use those skills to give back.

Members lovingly create handmade quilts, calico dolls and knitted teddies that are donated to hospitals, palliative care services, aged-care homes and organisations supporting people through difficult times.

We were lucky enough to see some of that work in action, with the ladies busy stuffing teddies ready to find their new homes. 🧸

Each one may be made from fabric, thread and stuffing, but there’s something else tucked in there too — the time and care of someone in our community who simply wanted to do something kind for another person.

That’s exactly the kind of community spirit we’re proud to support.

Thank you to Jen for choosing such a beautiful local organisation, and to the ladies of Mornington Peninsula Patchworkers for the countless hours you spend creating a little comfort for others.
