🏡 Finding Home: Stories of Hope & Action

A fantastic turnout for this event on the weekend presented by WeShare Mornington Peninsula in partnership with Western Port Community Support and Balnarring Community Hub, raising an incredible $1,700 for WPCS.

The event highlighted the very real challenges of housing insecurity, including powerful stories from the WPCS team and Tiny Move, Big Impact, a film by Isaac Carne exploring how tiny homes can form part of the response to the housing crisis.

🌿 A special milestone for Saltbush Balnarring Beach and one the Community Bank Balnarring and District is proud to have supported significantly in various aspects of the project.

Saturday marked an important moment, with the 12.1-hectare area known as Lot 7 formally placed under a Trust for Nature Covenant, helping protect its revegetation and natural habitat for generations to come.

Since April 2024, the Merricks Coolart Catchment Landcare Group and its supporters have worked to restore this former pasture land adjoining Merricks Creek, creating valuable habitat for koalas, birds and other wildlife.

A wonderful example of what can be achieved through vision, dedication and community — ensuring this living landscape continues to heal and flourish into the future. 🌱🐨
