Building financial discipline, one dollar at a time.
As a teacher balancing a full-time classroom role with a side business in poultry, I've learnt that saving isn't about willpower in the moment — it's about designing a system that removes decisions before temptation arrives.
My method: every dollar gets assigned a purpose the day my income lands. Savings first. Family obligations next. Personal spending last, and minimal by design. No credit purchases. No unplanned cash on hand.
The result so far: steady progress towards a $10,000 savings goal, built entirely through structure rather than restriction.
I'll be sharing more of this journey — the wins, the trade-offs, and the mindset shifts — as I document it.
