Thrive’s core business is to provide training and credit to women excluded from the mainstream financial sector in a manner that is both socially responsible and financially sustainable. Thrive is not a charity - It is run for profit with all profits retained in the business for the benefit of its borrowers. Our group size ranges from three to ten members and these come from urban and peri urban H

arare, Chitungwiza and Norton. Thrive also has s growing presence in the rural areas of Macheke, Sosombe, Chihota and Mwanza. Thrive mainly advances enterprise loans and its borrower profile includes cross-border traders, manufacturers of floor polish and cleaning materials, furniture makers, rearers of poultry, stall-holders, tailors & peanut butter makers. It also offers school fees and housing loans mainly for the benefit of its repeat borrowers. Thrive is very committed to client protection and responsible lending. Our internal evaluations show that we are both CPP and SPI4 compliant. We have recently undergone a Social Rating exercise by Barcelona based Inclusion Social Rating. The results will appear soon on our website. Over the past 5 years we have reached out to about 10000 women through the provision of financial literacy training and micro-credit. Even as the local macro-economic environment continues to be tough, we remain resolute on our quest to improving livelihoods through our activities.

Our poverty outreach as at 30 June 2019 stood at 69%, its highest point in the last 12 months. This is explained by our continued push into the rural areas or by the declining welfare in the market as the macro-economic worsens. Either way, our commitment to supporting economically active women remains strong.
