SIRDC received special recognition at the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Week 2026 in Masvingo for their Digital Performance Monitoring and Evaluation System that they showcased.

The system generated a lot of interest from Ministries, Departments and Agencies, private sector and development partners who were represented during the workshop.

The system was presented by Mr. Isaiah Samukupe, Director, Strategic Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation and Eng. Blissful Mamombe, Director, Informatics and Artificial Intelligence

SIRDC represented by Mr Ambrose Kavu, Technology Transfer and Enterprise Development Director is attending and exhibiting at the Third edition of the Public Service Retirement Conference being held at Mutare Sports Pavilion. Over 3,700 delegates are attending the conference.

SIRDC Team led by Mrs Gladys G. Mudyahoto, Executive Director Finance and Adminstration, won an award for the Best Digital Performance Monitoring and Evaluation System at the exhibition held during the MEL Week. The system automates and simplifies perfomance monitoring, enabling real time data collection, perfomance reporting and enhanced decision making.

The award was presented by the Vice President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Honourable Vice President Dr Kembo C. D. Mohadi, during the official opening of MEL Week 2026.

The Speaker of Parliament Honorable Adv. Jacob Mudenda toured the SIRDC stand at the launch of the Committee For The Future. The event was held at Parliament in Mt Hampden. SIRDC showcased innovations that include evaporative cooling systems, surveillance drone, BSF technology, climate-smart seeds and traditional grains seeds.

The 2nd Edition of the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Week is underway in Masvingo. Running under the theme " Advancing Vision 2030, SDGs and Agenda 2063 through Public Sector Delivery: Transformation of MEL and Data Systems." SIRDC is ably represented by a delegation led by Executive Director of Finance and Administration Mrs. Gladys G. Mudyahoto, alongside Director for Strategic Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Mr. Isaiah Samukupe; Director for Informatics and Artificial Intelligence Eng. Blissful Mamombe; Deputy Director for Strategic Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Ms. Melissa Dengedza; and Monitoring and Evaluation Officer Mr. Tinotenda Makazhu.
