The holder of this position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintains quality service by following Warehouse rules and procedures.
• To follow receiving process, receiving purchase orders and making the them available for issuing.
• Quality of items to be checked, documented and reported.
• To assist in preservation of items against deterioration.
• To assist in binning items on shelves.
• To assist in picking items to be issued on pick slip.
• To assist in counting stocks during stock takes.
• Provide training and development opportunities for all direct reports on an ongoing basis, with a particular focus on Zambian employees.
• To assist in moving items in and around the Warehouse
• To keep work environment clean by keeping shelves and Stockyard areas neat.
• Other duties as directed by the Supervisor.
Qualifications
• Grade 12 School Certificate
• Basic knowledge of materials handling procedures.
• CIPS Training and certification preferred
Experience
• Previous warehouse experienced preferred.

Operational Requirements
• Effective communication / comprehension skills – verbal and written
• Maths Skills – Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure.
• Basic computer Skills
• Physical requirements – ability to bend, twist, stoop, reach, climb ladders, lift materials up to 20kg, and move materials up to 3 tons using a pallet jack.
• Valid Silicosis certificate
