This month, we rolled out our Financial Literacy Program, aimed at reaching over 1,200 of our clients across our branches. Lest us look at the progress we’ve made together so far.
🌱Building Stronger Entrepreneurs Together. 🌱
As part of Umino’s commitment to offering credible and practical business advice, we have launched a series of financial literacy trainings across six branches. This initiative supports our mandate to strengthen small businesses by equipping entrepreneurs with essential skills in record keeping, financial management, debt management, and cost control.
To enhance learning, clients are using Umino’s Daily Cash Sales Book a simple yet powerful tool that helps business owners track daily income and expenses. This practical tool encourages disciplined record keeping, which is key to informed financial decision‑making and long‑term business growth. The program also builds on the ongoing work of our loan officers who provide continuous business advisory support in the field.
📍 Our February Field Trainings
• 2nd February – Mpanshya: A great start with engaged entrepreneurs eager to learn.
• 3rd February – Rufunsa: Another successful session with enthusiastic local business owners.
• 4th February – Sinjela: Strong participation and positive feedback.
• 5th February – Chinyunyu: A vibrant session with entrepreneurs ready to improve their financial skills.
Across all locations, the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Participants appreciated the practical tools, clear lessons, and supportive facilitators. These sessions are helping entrepreneurs build stronger businesses and contributing to economic resilience in their communities.
Umino remains committed to promoting financial awareness, responsible borrowing, and sustainable business management. Through this initiative, we continue to uplift communities, empower small business owners, and give clients the confidence they need to succeed.
