The Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC), a statutory body under the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprise Development (MSMED), was established by the Government of Zambia to implement various economic empowerment programmes. The Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC), a statutory body under the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprise Development (MSMED), was established by an act of parliament with the aim to substantially increase meaningful participation of targeted citizens, citizen empowered companies, citizen influenced and citizen owned companies in the economy and decrease income inequality.

Engagement with interested farmers in Chilanga to enhance effective participation of targeted citizens & cooperatives in targeted districts of the Horticulture Loan Product.

The purpose of the Horticulture Loan Product is to strengthen food systems in Lusaka Province (Kafue, Chilanga, Chongwe & Lusaka districts) and the Copperbelt Province (Ndola, Masaiti, Kalulushi & Luanshya) by supporting farmers to work through cooperatives within a producer-to-processor model.
CEEC will finance crop production, aggregation, cold chain storage & processing to reduce posg harvest losses, minimise waste through full utilisation of produce & increase income opportunities through value addition & market access.

The CEEC Cosmetology Loan Product is still open for applications, offering eligible enterprises in Zambia's beauty and cosmetology sector an opportunity to access financing for product stocking, equipment acquisition and business expansion.

Eligible applicants can access microfinance of up to K50,000, at 12% per annum, with a 12-month tenure and no grace period.
