Insurance Ambassadors Take Insurance Education to Over 800 Learners During Insurance Week 2026!

The Pensions and Insurance Authority, through its Insurance Ambassadors Programme, reached over 800 learners across secondary schools in Central and Western Provinces through awareness activities and one-on-one engagements.

The outreach, led by Mulungushi University Insurance Ambassadors and 35 Teacher Insurance Ambassadors from Mongu and Limulunga Districts, highlighted the importance of insurance in managing risks and providing financial protection.

Engaging learners early helps nurture financially informed young people who understand the value of insurance and are better equipped to make sound financial decisions as they transition into adulthood.

Through this initiative, PIA continues to expand insurance education at the grassroots level, building a more financially informed and resilient generation.

Building insurance awareness today for a more financially secure tomorrow.

Wrapping Up Insurance Week in Mansa!

The Pensions and Insurance Authority wrapped up its 2026 Insurance Week activities in Mansa with an awareness engagement with teachers from schools across the district.

The session highlighted the value of insurance, how it works as a risk mitigation tool, consumer rights and responsibilities, and the complaint handling procedure.

Insurance Week activities continue in Mansa!

As part of Insurance Week 2026, on 22nd and 23rd September, the Pensions and Insurance Authority engaged over 400 students from Mansa College of Education and Mansa College of Nursing and Midwifery in Luapula Province on the importance of insurance and making informed financial decisions.

The sensitisation engagements are part of the Authority’s efforts to equip young people with knowledge on how to protect themselves, their assets and their future.

PIA IS IN LUAPULA!

In commemoration of the 2026 Insurance Week, the Pensions and Insurance Authority has taken its insurance awareness activities to Luapula Province under the theme, “Insurance: Facing the Future with Confidence.”

To kick-start the week’s activities, the PIA team paid a courtesy call on the Luapula Provincial Administration, where the Permanent Secretary was represented by the Provincial Assistant Secretary, Mr. John Mwasha.

The courtesy call marked the commencement of a week-long programme of insurance awareness activities targeting learners, teachers, farmers, marketeers, SMEs and other members of the community.

PIA also paid courtesy calls on the Provincial Education Office and the District Education Board Secretary’s Office to formally introduce the awareness programme and strengthen collaboration.

As PIA takes insurance closer to the people, the message is clear: understanding insurance today helps us face tomorrow with greater confidence.
