The Registrar/CEO of the Pensions and Insurance Authority, Mrs. Namakau Mundia Ntini, on Friday, 7 August, hosted a CEO Engagement Breakfast with leaders from insurance industry.
The engagement provided a strategic platform to update industry leaders on key developments in the insurance industry and to strengthen collaboration between the Authority and regulated entities.
A key message from the engagement was the need for the industry to embrace innovation, strengthen underwriting discipline, enhance customer experience, and respond proactively to emerging risks such as climate change, cyber threats, and the evolving impact of artificial intelligence.
Discussions also focused on increasing insurance pe*******on, expanding access to insurance services among underserved populations, and strengthening the resilience of the insurance industry to support Zambia’s broader economic transformation.
Also in attendance were Dr. Brian Manchishi, Deputy Registrar – Insurance at the Pensions and Insurance Authority; Dr. Webster Twaambo, President of the Insurance Association of Zambia (IAZ); and Mrs. Phedeliah Mwaba, President of the Insurance Brokers Association of Zambia (IBAZ).
Stakeholder engagement remains central to the Authority’s mandate of promoting a sound, inclusive, and resilient insurance industry.
