Advertisement: Senior Accountant โ Accounting Operations and Reporting

We are looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Senior Accountant to lead our Accounting Operations and Reporting functions. If you thrive in a fast-paced insurance environment and have a strong passion for financial integrity and compliance, this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities:
ยท Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial controls, and team supervision
ยท Manage treasury, cash flow, and banking relationships
ยท Prepare and review monthly management accounts under IFRS (including IFRS 17)
ยท Handle insurance technical accounting (UPR, IBNR, claims, premiums, etc.)
ยท Perform bank & debtor reconciliations and maintain balance sheet integrity
ยท Support budgeting, financial reporting, fixed assets, and audit processes
ยท Provide leadership and mentorship to the Accounts & Reporting team
Requirements:
ยท Bachelorโs Degree in Accounting/Finance
ยท Professional qualification: ACCA, CA Zambia, CIMA or equivalent
ยท 3โ6 years relevant experience (insurance/financial services an advantage)
ยท Strong knowledge of IFRS 17 and insurance accounting
ยท Proficiency in any Accounting ERP, Excel, and financial systems
ยท Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills
