EL NIĂ‘O IS HERE. ARE YOU PREPARED?
This is not a distant possibility. El Niño is already established, and the World Meteorological Organization expects it to strengthen into a very strong event towards the end of 2026. There is a nearly 100% likelihood that it will persist through February 2027.
For Southern Africa, El Niño is associated with an increased risk of drought and suppressed rainfall. And for farmers, a dry season can quickly become a financial problem — affecting crops, livestock, food production and income.
This is why preparation matters.
