As a leader in the Microfinance industry BFC is proud to roll out Kamfukwemfukwe, The Advance Deposit Product in conjunction with Kazang.

This is responding to a rapidly changing world where traditional ways of doing things are no longer sufficient. Now more than ever, businesses need to act with the application of innovation and technology in order to compete at the highest level.

Kamfukwemfukwe will enable BFC reach a new clientele by disbursing electronic money through the Kazang platform. Kazang vendors will have the ability to request a deposit advance which can be used to sell goods and services available through the Kazang system such as airtime and electricity. Vendors will request the advance via their Kazang machine and the advance will be immediately available.

Kamfukwemfukwe is part of a new strategy aimed at maintaining BFC’s position as a market leader in the industry while contributing to the growth and development of Zambia’s financial sector.

Kazang MD Leon de Wit states that ‘Access to credit is one of the major factors that increase financial inclusion. Other factors like the ability to deposit and withdraw money into your account are also very important and Kazang are offering these via the National Financial Switch. This partnership will improve the Kazang vendor's ability to provide financial services in their communities especially in the rural areas where access to bank branches is limited.
