Afrisec Group has an exciting and challenging career opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Accountant and Human Resource Coordinator.
The post is based in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo.
ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT
Overall responsibility of the post:
Responsible for the management of debtors and creditors, ensuring that customer and supplier invoices are accurately and timely dealt with and that monthly statements and aged analysis are prepared. To manage all cash books, by posting and updating all cash books on timely basis for each transaction on Pastel and performing reconciliations and cash counts. Process the monthly payroll on a timely basis. Able to produce an accurate and timely trial balance on monthly basis and to assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts. Actively participate in the annual audit preparation and assist with the monthly tax returns and annual returns to the relavant tax authorities and other statutory bodies.
Qualifications, skills, knowledge, and experience required for the post:
• Diploma or degree in Accountancy.
• Minimum three years proven experience in a similar post.
• Computer literate (Proficient in MS Office; Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Proven experience in planning and organizing daily activities
• Good communication skills
• Fluency in English, written and spoken
• Proficient in Pastel
HUMAN RESOURCE COORDINATOR
Overall responsibility of the post:
Identifying training and development needs within the company through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with employees and their managers and managing the delivery of training and development programs. Ensure all employees are issued timely with a contract of employment and associated paperwork as necessary. Ensure all data for Payroll processing has been verified, is accurate and is backed up by relevant documentation and forms such as timesheets, attendance registers, leave forms etc. Coordinate all Recruitment, Selection and Induction programs and ensure compliance with the company’s policy and procedures through ensuring that all prospective employees are resourced efficiently and effectively. Develop and coordinate appraisal and interim reviews for all employees. Keep up-to-date with developments, legislation and regulations relevant to Human Resources. Ensure that the company’s disciplinary and grievance procedures are followed and implemented fairly and consistently. Manage the effective utilization of Human Resources Information Systems and prepare HR metric data and operational reports by creating, collating, updating and utilizing spreadsheets to analyze and trend data.
Qualifications, skills, knowledge, and experience required for the post:
• Diploma or degree in Human Resource Management.
• Minimum three years proven experience in a similar post.
• Ability to manage a voluminous workload, often with conflicting priorities and to stringent deadlines.
• Demonstrable experience of dealing with highly confidential and often sensitive information.
• Computer literate (Proficient in MS Office; Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Good communication skills
• Fluency in English, written and spoken
