Happy Labour Day, Zambia! 🎉 Today we celebrate the heart of our nation our workers. This year’s theme, “Building Resilience: Workers at the heart of Zambia’s economic recovery,” reminds us that every miner, farmer, nurse, teacher and entrepreneur is vital to our growth. President Hakainde Hichilema urged us to remember that workers are the engine of the economy and called on employers to care for their employees. The International Labour Organization emphasises that recovery must be human‑centred, with decent jobs, protection of workers’ rights and social dialogue. Through smart investments and policy reforms, we can protect our people, accelerate growth and create jobs. Let’s honour the resilience, dedication and hard work of our people and commit to building a more inclusive and prosperous Zambia. 🇿🇲
