ComGrow had the pleasure of being invited to the Green Innovation Centre (set up by People's Process on Housing and Poverty in Zambia - PPHPZ) in Kanyama. On our visit, we engaged with 36 village bank leaders and discussed the problems they face in managing their groups. It was a refreshing experience to hear first-hand the problems that savings groups face, and demonstrate how our solution would help them to understand more about village banking and address the issues that disturb their operations!

For a long time, village banking was seen as a way to access finance only to make ends meet or fund small-scale business projects. The article by The Business Telegraph (https://thebusinesstelegraph.com/2022/01/02/village-banking-the-savings-bitcoin-of-zambia-best-performing-asset-of-2021/) highlights how, owing to its recent growing popularity, village banking has much further reaching benefits.
