*UPND SOUTH MOURNS INNOCENT KABWE*

It is devastating to learn about the demise of Falls FM Managing Director, Innocent Kabwe.

And heartbreaking, when the country few months ago lost another two media gurus *Mr Haangala and Mr Hambulo*.

The ruling UPND in the Southern Province, shall greatly miss lnnocent Kabwe.

Falls FM Radio has provided a platform for Livingstone community and beyond on pertinent issues affecting citizens.

We join the family in prayer.

PARTNERSHIPS THAT EQUIP JOURNALISTS WILL ALWAYS BE SUPPORTED BY MTN

By Martin Lubasi

MTN Zambia Head Of Sales Business Unit – South West Mr Belekiya Sakala says partnerships that equip Zambian Journalists with capacity and competence to report on various business sectors such as Telecommunication, Agriculture, Mining, Technology and Tourism will always be welcomed and supported by MTN Zambia.

Mr Sakala revealed that in the past they have engaged in supporting local journalists to Highway Africa Conference for an opportunity to better understanding the Telecommunication sector and how to report on the innovation and advances happening

Sakala said MTN are passionate about the media and recognize the crucial role it plays in the development in the society.

He observed that in a bid to provide excellent telecommunications and value added services would be void if it were done without an active collaboration with the media in the country.

Mr Sakala stated that the media is a vital tool that will play a crucial role in disseminating information regarding MTN various products and services.

Speaking during the Launch of the MTN Zambia Media Club Southern Region at Protea Hotel in Livingstone Sakala noted that the media has also a crucial role to play in ensuring accountability within the private sector by focusing on the track record of businesses, highlighting investment commitment and presence in the community.

He further added that MTN Zambia shall always endeavor to remain relevant to the media not only as a news source but also through implementing initiatives that will promote the growth and development of the media industry.

And speaking at the same event Mast Newspaper’s Collins Mbulo who spoke on behalf of the media said the MTN Media Club will create a very good bridge between MTN and the journalists in terms of information flow.

Mr Mbulo who is also Livingstone Press Club Vice President said he has the highest esteem and trust in the members who were elected into the MTN Media Club committee that they will drive the group’s message forward.

The MTN Media Club Southern Region will be an interactive platform that promotes viable interaction amongst media practitioners and will enhance media relationship with MTN

Mr Mwila said the PF in Livingstone was intact and that they have a program which is meant to strengthen the party in the Tourist Capital and they are just waiting for a go ahead from the PF provincial leadership

Mwila stated that if rebranding of the party means him to resign he will do so because he wants the best for the party as he is 100% PF

He revealed that after 100 days plus of the New Dawn Government in power no tangible pronouncement has been made.

This was revealed when he featured on the breakfast show on falls fm radio
