We have received complaints from some members that some micro finance companies have started recovering loans directly from their clients bank accounts despiting deductions made on payslips.Please confirm so that we can make a formal complaint to Government.

Please make sure that you see your branch leadership so that you are not left out, however i can rest assure you that we have enough for every member.

CSAWUZ intends to submit proposals of the improved salary/wage and conditions of service to the government as outlined in clause 8.0 of the collective agreement since the budget cycle starts in the month of June. i therefore advised that you submit your proposals on this fora for inclusion in our demand paper before friday 8th June,2018

Dear comrades, I'm sure by now you have heard what we settled for. We of course wanted a better deal but as usual government give its reasons of meagre resources. Others related conditions of service are yet to be concluded but we can safely say a budget provision is there. We thank you for your patience and support.

My dear comrades, we wish to apologise to the general membership that we were not able to update you on bargarning issues for quiet sometime. As you might have heard already, the 2016 negotiations collapsed because the government negotiating team insisted that government had no money to warrant a salary increment. Looking at the time that was left before the presentation of the 2018 budget, we as unions agreed to abandon the 2017 negotiations and instead concentrate on the preparation of the new demands. we wish to hasten here we remain resolute and strong to fight for better conditions in 2018. From today onwards, we shall keep you informed. Thank you for your continued support

Dear comrades, As CSAWUZ we value identity very much because it really shows how organised we are as the oldest union in zambia. Next month, we will be distributing our logo printed chitenge materials to all our members country wide. As you aware,chitenge material is synonymous with our culture hence we urge the general membersship to sew suits and shirts from these materials.More good things are coming

My dear comrades, csawuz leaders have engaged the finance minister to see how best government can start liquidating outstanding personal emuloments ie long service bonus,leave travel benefits, settling in allowance etc. we are confident that funds will be released soon to various MPSAs for this purpose.

Dear Members, Im sure by now you have seen the circular from psmd concerning adjustments in subsistence and meal allowances. This collective agreement was signed by UG only.As CSAWUZ and NUPSW we objected and did not sign this agreement because only a few people would benefit from this CA.if you we had signed this agreement it would have meant accepting a 0% salary increment.since we have a heart for the majority workers we told a team from govt to go back and report to cabinet that what we need is salary increment not a rise in sub allowance which will only benefit senior officers since they are the people who travel alot. we shall keep you updated. My dear colleagues, im sure you heard what our union president said about the ongoing negotiations. We are still pushing for a better package. There is a sponsored new union which is agreeing to every offer the govt proposes. Imagine a responsible leader accepting 2% payrise with this harsh economy.SHAME ON THIS NEW UNION. As csawuz we strive for better condition of service.

why should others get sitting allowances at 1,500 per day whilst you tell civil servants to tighten their belts. you even BAN overtime allowances.Even if its animal farm. We demand a fair share of the national cake. Viva csawuz, viva worker.Solidarity forever

We want to tell our servants ( Ministers especially Hon. Mutati) that before you tell us to tighten our belts, walk in our shoes and experience the life we are living, see if you can make it as far as we have done. Maybe then you will understand how strong a public service worker is.
