Earlier this Year, Greencare Eco Solutions Ltd. hosted a Climate Smart Agriculture Training and Field Day at Greencare Farms, bringing together farmers from Kamakuti, Kawasaki, and nearby Lead Hot Spot areas like Waya Township. 🧑🏿‍🌾

Led by Robert Chanda, Programme Coordinator for Agriculture and Water Security at the Centre for Environment Justice , the training explored how our organic fertilizers and growing mediums contribute to sustainable farming, soil regeneration, and climate resilience. 🍃

Through interactive discussions and hands-on demonstrations, farmers learned how our bio-waste-derived fertilizers improve soil health, boost yields, and reduce the environmental impact of conventional farming. ☘️

Our team is identifying aquifers in end-users' areas to strategically build reservoirs as a cost-effective alternative to boreholes. These affordable solutions make water access more attainable for smallholder farmers, helping them adapt to climate challenges and sustain their livelihoods. 🌽

We’re excited to introduce our new Green Bins 🚮, now available for our community. These bins are a crucial step in our journey towards a cleaner, greener Kabwe. They are designed specifically for biodegradable waste, helping us manage waste more responsibly.♻️

Please remember that only food waste, ash, and leaves should be disposed of in these green bins. These materials break down naturally creating more valuable organic products, contributing to a healthier environment. 🍃

It’s important that unbiodegradable waste of any kind such as metals, plastics, chemicals, and other non-organic materials should not be thrown into these bins. Proper waste separation ensures that we can effectively aggregate bio-waste, reducing the amount of waste that ends up in our landfills. ⚠️
