*ACCEPT THE LORDS INVITATION BEFORE ITS TOO LATE AND THE DOOR IS SHUT*
*Luke 14 vs 15-24* Read this portion of scripture.

*INTEPRETATION;* The man sitting at the table with Jesus envisioned the glory of God's Kingdom, but he did not yet understand how to have a share in it.

*In Jesus' story, many people turned down the invitation to the banquet because the timing was inconvenient.* WE, TOO, MAY RESIST OR DELAY RESPONDING TO GOD'S INVITATION, AND OUR EXCUSES MAY SOUND REASONABLE, *WORK DUTIES, FAMILY RESPONSIBILITIES, FINANCIAL NEEDS, OR OTHER REASONS.*

Nevertheless, God's invitation is the most important event in your life, no matter how inconveniently it may be timed. *Are you making excuses to avoid responding to God's call?*

Jesus reminds us that the time will come when God will pull his invitation and offer it to others, and then it will be too late to get into the banquet.

*In todays world, all of us appear to be too preoccupied, BUT remember that Jesus is everything in our life. The same job, school, or programs that are keeping you busy. You need the Lords favour to succeed and to make it big.*

*MY PRAYER TODAY IS THAT LETS FIND TIME TO BE IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD THROUGH PRAYER AND BIBLE STUDY. AMEN*

*IN TIMES OF TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS YOU NEED GOD MORE THAN ANYTHING*
*Psalm 130 vs 1-2* The Bible reads (1) From the depths of despair, O Lord, I call for your help. (2) Hear my cry, O Lord. Pay attention to my prayer.

*INTERPRETATION;* In the depths of despair, the writer cried out to God. Despair makes us feel isolated and distant from God, *but this is precisely when we need God most*. Despair over sin should not lead to self-pity, causing us to think more about ourselves than God. Instead, it should lead to confession and then to God's mercy, forgiveness, and redemption. *When we feel overwhelmed by a problem, feeling sorry for ourselves will only increase feelings of hopelessness, but crying out to God will turn our attention TO THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN REALLY HELP THE GOD OF HEAVEN.*

*TODAY WE ALL DESPERATELY SEEK SOCIAL STATUS MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE, BUT THIS IS WHAT THE LORD SAYS*
*Luke 14 vs 7-11* Read this portion of scripture.

*INTERPRETATION;* Jesus advised people not to rush for the best places at a feast. *People today are just as eager to raise their social status, whether by being with the right people, dressing for success, or driving the right car.* WHOM DO YOU TRY TO IMPRESS? Rather than aiming for prestige, look for a place where you can serve. If God wants you to serve on a wider scale, he will invite you to take a higher place.

Jesus taught two lessons here. *First, he spoke to the guests, telling them not to seek places of honour. Service is more important in God's Kingdom than status.* Second, he told the host not to be exclusive about whom he invited. *GOD OPENS HIS KINGDOM TO EVERYONE*

*RESPECT YOUR SUPERIORS AND WORK WITH OBEDIENCE FOR EVERYTHING YOU DO YOU REPRESENT CHRIST*
*Ephesians 6 vs 5-9* The Bible reads (5) Slaves obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ. (6) Try to please them all the time, not just when they are watching you. As slaves of Christ, do the will of God with all your heart. (7) Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. (8) Remember that the Lord will reward each one of us for the good we do, whether we are slaves or free. (9) Masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Don't threaten them, remember, you both have the same Master in heaven, and he has no favorites.

*INTERPRETATION;* Paul's instructions encourage responsibility and integrity on the job. *Christian employees should do their job as if Jesus Christ were their superior.* And Christian employers should treat their employees fairly and with respect. Can you be trusted to do your best, *EVEN WHEN YOUR BOSS IS NOT AROUND?* Do you work hard and with enthusiasm? *Do you treat your employees as people, not machines?* Remember that no matter whom you work for, and no matter who works for you, *the one you ultimately should want to please is your Father in heaven.*

Although Christians may be at different levels in earthly society, *we are all equal before God.* He does not play favourites; no one is more important than anyone else.

*ONLY THE LORD OFFERS PERFECT PEACE*
*Psalm 122 vs 6-9*

The peace sort in these versus is much more than the mere absence of conflict. *It suggests completeness, health, justice, prosperity, and protection.* The world can not provide this peace. Real peace comes from faith in God because he alone embodies all the characteristics of peace. *To find peace of mind and peace with others, you must find peace with God almighty first.*

Do you ever feel trapped by overwhelming odds? With God, there is always a way out because he is the creator of all that exists. *No problem is beyond his ability to solve. No circumstance is too difficult for him.* We can turn to the creator for help in our time of need, for he is on our side. God will provide a way out; we need only to trust him and look forward to it.
